I'm Tina McClaren, an independent insurance agent, and I work by one idea: you deserve to understand exactly what you're buying before you buy it. No pressure, no scripts — just honest guidance from someone who picks up the phone.
Looking at your options never costs a thing, and you're never signed up for anything without saying so.
You work with me from your first question through your policy anniversary — not a rotating call center.
I'll walk you through what each type of coverage actually does before we ever talk about price.
Every family and every business is different, which is why I offer several types of coverage. Tap a tab above to read a clear, no-jargon explanation of each one — no jargon, no fine print tricks.
Affordable coverage for a set number of years — ideal while you're raising a family or paying off a mortgage.
Permanent coverage with a locked-in premium and cash value that grows over time.
A smaller policy designed to cover funeral and end-of-life costs, so your family doesn't have to.
A way to turn savings into a guaranteed stream of income you cannot outlive.
Permanent coverage with growth potential tied to a market index, and protection from market losses.
Protect your company, your partners, and the employees who help you run it.
When you fill out a form on this site, it doesn't go into a queue for whoever is available next. It comes to me. I'm a licensed, independent insurance agent, and I do this work because I believe people make better decisions when someone actually explains things to them instead of rushing them to sign.
My job is to ask what you're actually trying to protect — your kids, your spouse, your business, your peace of mind — and then show you the coverage that does that, at a price that makes sense for your life.
If you ever call and I don't pick up, I will call you back. That's a promise, not a marketing line.
Term life insurance covers you for a set period of time — usually 10, 20, or 30 years. If something happens to you during that term, your beneficiaries receive a payout. If the term ends and you're still here, the policy simply expires (though many can be renewed or converted).
It's typically the most affordable way to get a meaningful amount of coverage, which is why it's often the first policy a young family or a new homeowner considers.
Whole life insurance is designed to last your entire lifetime, as long as premiums are paid. Your premium is generally locked in from day one, and part of every payment builds cash value inside the policy — money you may be able to borrow against later in life.
Because it's permanent, whole life usually costs more per month than term coverage of the same size. In exchange, you get a policy that isn't tied to a specific number of years and a cash value that grows in a predictable, guaranteed way.
Final expense insurance is a smaller, simplified type of whole life insurance, usually built to cover the costs that show up right after someone passes away: funeral and burial costs, remaining medical bills, and small debts left behind.
These policies are usually easier and faster to qualify for than larger life insurance policies. Many are available with simplified or no medical exam, which makes this a common fit for older adults or anyone with health history that might make traditional coverage harder to get.
An annuity is a contract with an insurance company, not a life insurance policy — but the two are often planned together. You pay into an annuity either as a lump sum or over time, and in return the insurance company promises to pay you an income later, often for the rest of your life.
Annuities exist to solve a different problem than life insurance: instead of protecting your family if you pass away too soon, they help protect you from outliving your own savings.
Indexed Universal Life is a type of permanent life insurance where the cash value can grow based on the performance of a market index, such as the S&P 500 — without your money actually being invested in the market. Most IUL policies include a floor, so your cash value is protected from losses even in a down year, and a cap, which limits how much you can gain in a strong year.
IUL policies also tend to offer more flexibility than whole life — you may be able to adjust your premium or death benefit over time as your life changes.
If you own a business, insurance isn't just personal — it protects the company itself. I work with business owners on a few common needs:
Protects your business financially if a critical owner or employee — often the person whose knowledge or relationships keep things running — passes away unexpectedly.
Makes sure that if a business partner passes away, there's a funded, agreed-upon way to buy out their share instead of a scramble or a forced sale.
Offering even modest life insurance as a benefit tells your team you're thinking about their families, not just their paychecks.
Supplemental coverage that helps you attract and keep the people your business depends on most.
Here's what I want you to know: when I talk to your employees about their benefits, I'm not there to sell them something they don't need. I explain their options honestly, answer their questions the same way I'd answer my own family's, and let them decide what's right for their household. That's the same approach I bring to you.
There's no obligation and no pressure. Fill this out, and I'll review it myself before I call — so when we talk, I already have an idea of how I can help you.
Just the basics — how to reach you and what you're interested in.
Pick the day and time that's easiest for you — I work around your schedule.
A relaxed conversation to understand your goals and walk through real options.
No. My goal on the first call is to understand your situation and answer your questions. If coverage doesn't make sense for you right now, I'll tell you that.
No. There's no cost and no obligation to review your options or talk with me.
